4 Tips to Improve Overall Health
On Sundays I always like to provide the membership with nutritional and lifestyle information. This week I thought I would focus on lifestyles choices you can make to improve your overall health.
Making slight changes to your daily routine can have a huge impact to your future health in regards to your chances of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, liver problems and certain cancers
1) Don't Smoke, and if you do..STOP. Smoking causes lung cancer and other cancers and increases your risk of heart disease. The benefits to your health improve rapidly the moment you quit smoking.
2) Do some regular Physical Exercise. A sedentary lifestyle can lead to many physical and mental health issues. Consistent physical activities that elevate your heart rate for a period of time can have great benefits to your overall health in regards to weight, mental health, and heart health.
3) Eat a Healthy Diet. Fruits, vegetables, wholegrain foods, lean meat and poultry, and a limit on your salt intake are all key components to a healthy diet.
4) Limit your alcohol intake. Studies have shown that adults who consume alcohol regularly are at risk of liver problems, diabetes, and mental health issues.
Hope this information helps!
